Val Thorens guarantees an incomparable quality of abundant snow from powder fields to perfectly prepared pistes, the wide and varied ski area has something for everybody: alpine skiing, ski trekking, snow boarding, snow shoe outings... and even toboganning on a 6 km piste, the longest in France.

From the 22nd of November 2008 to the 3trd of May 2009 : 99% of the ski area is situated at above 2000 m and over 35% of it is

equipped with artificial snow making machines. From the top of the Cime Caron at 3200 m, you can discover a 360° panorama over the whole of the Alps.

At an altitude of 2300 metres, the highest resort in Europe is the culminating point of the 3 Vallées, the biggest ski area in the world (600 km of pistes).
