Choosing Méribel and the 3 Vallées means guaranteeing excellent snow conditions ensuring you’ll have a great winter holiday.
The "snow guarantee":
• Firstly, the site. The outstanding 3 Vallées ski area provides very good natural snow conditions. Here more than anywhere else, the average altitude, aspect, and the size of the ski area ensure high-quality skiing right through to springtime.
• Artificial snow. It is now an integral part of the landscape of our resorts ensuring world-class downhill skiing as soon as the season starts and further enhancing the quality of the slopes. Artificial snow is environmental-friendly and goes back to the watershed when the snow melts. Today, it is perfect for skiing and covers 50% of the ski area.
• The pistes. The maintenance work carried out in summer (grass planting, profiling, etc.) provides a final touch ensuring an optimum base when the snow begins to fall in our mountains. This represents a further guarantee of high-quality skiing when combined with excellent packing down techniques,
Skiing and a lot more besides* Off-piste skiing
In addition to 600 kms of secure pistes, there are endless outstanding off-piste possibilities. Each valley features a number of staggering solution for those who ski from time to time through to free riders.
It is your responsibility to assess and manage the risks presented by off-piste skiing.
* Brides-les-Bains off-piste
Depending on snow conditions, ski down to the village of Brides (600 m) to enjoy skiing at varying heights over some 2000 m, from the ridges to the river passing through forests and orchards on the way.
